Recognizing the power of radio, the AgriPinoy Corn Program of the Department of Agriculture Caraga taps its potential thru the conduct of the University on the Air (UOA) on White Corn Production.
The University on the Air on White Corn Production radio course will be carried out thru the expertise of the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Division (RAFID) with the support of its farmcasters from the local government units.

To push quality and safe corn production in the country the Department of Agriculture AgriPinoy Corn Program launched this year the first and prestigious search in the corn industry dubbed as 2013 National Search for Corn Quality Awards.
The search is open nationwide and is envisioned to recognize the achievement of top performing LGUs with outstanding contribution to the corn industry.

The Department of Agriculture Caraga awarded the 2012 Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) Best School Implementers with cash prizes, plaques and certificates in a ceremony held at the Goat2geder Hotel & Restaurant in Butuan City on February 20, 2013.
To encourage the schools to actively participate and implement the program, a Search for Best School Implementers is conducted annually with cash prizes given away to the winners.

Butuan City - In an effort to boost corn industry in Caraga region, the Department of Agriculture turned-over another village type corn postharvest processing center in Brgy. Tiniwisan, Butuan City last January 15, 2013.
Gracing the occasion was Regional Technical Director for Operations Edgardo Dahino of DA Regional Field Unit 13, Butuan City Mayor Ferdinand Amante Jr., Tiniwisan Brgy. Captain Demetrio Tabelon, members and officers of Saint Gabriel Multi-purpose Cooperative (SGMPC) as recipient and other officials and barangay residents.

Lingig, Surigao del Sur – The local government unit of Lingig, Surigao del sur expressed gratitude to the Department of Agriculture of the relief goods they had received for typhoon Pablo victims.
Regional Technical Director (RTD) for Research and Regulatory Teodoro P. Fiel personally led the delivery of the goods and was received by LGU Lingig thru Sangguniang Bayan member Isagani Onsing who in turn expressed his deepest thanks to DA Caraga.
